MISSIONS IN NORTH AMERICA

By the grace of the Holy Spirit, the charism of the Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ Sisters has spread throughout the world. Our community has more than 80 houses in 20 countries. In the Our Lady of Guadalupe North American Region, our sisters serve in communities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Ireland.

Through our missions, we seek to bring the love of Jesus Christ to people experiencing homelessness, loneliness, addiction, and other forms of material or spiritual poverty. Our apostolate includes street ministry, evangelization, prayer, and works of mercy.

Join Us for Street Ministry

Would you like to serve alongside the Sisters Poor of Jesus Christ?

Our street ministry brings sisters and volunteers into the streets to encounter and accompany people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Through offering a sack lunch or home-cooked meal, friendship, prayer, and conversation, we seek to remind our brothers and sisters of their inherent dignity as a beloved child of God.

Volunteers are more than welcome to join our street ministry, whether once, twice, or on a consistent basis. Below, sign-ups are available for some of our missions. If there is no online sign-up, you can contact the Mission House directly.
